On Black Friday we're going to Walmart to support the
growing national strike! Join us the day after Thanksgiving to support
your fellow workers.
Walmart workers are illegally forced to
work overtime, they're paid low wages and can't afford the health care
"provided" to them. The sexism is
rampant and notorious. The heirs to the Walmart fortune control more
wealth than the bottom 30% of Americans even while the corporation's
workers domestically and abroad are under-appreciated, abused and
exploited.
"Low, low prices" actually means high exploitation
of the workers, shuttered local business and an end to local control of
commerce, manufacturing jobs being sent overseas where workers are even
more vulnerable and capture of state and federal government by a
multinational corporation.
You can't vote against Walmart; we
must use direct action to curb their abuses. There is power in the hands
of working folks but only when we stand hand in hand. Join us and
create real people power.
Join the IWW and the Campaign for a
Party of Mass Labor at 3:30 pm outside the Walmart store on 1300 South
and 300 West in Salt Lake City.
Suggested signs:
"I want to sponsor a Walmart striker"
