Action Network Wins “Most Valuable Technology”

Most Valuable Organizing Awards

Great news! Action Network won the “Most Valuable Technology” Award last week at the RootsCamp convention. Over the past four years, RootsCamp has honored some of the most innovative technologies, best-constructed campaigns, and inspiring organizers in the progressive movement. We are so proud to be included in this list of organizing technologies!

Please donate to support our work so that we can keep growing, innovating, and expanding the progressive infrastructure.

And, in case you missed it, here are some other exciting updates about our new partnership with Catalist and the release of the new Action Network fundraising tool.

Action Network partners with Catalist

Catalist and Action Network are teaming up to help strengthen the progressive movement. This natural partnership between Catalist and Action Network will help to build even more significant infrastructure for progressives. Both organizations are committed to expanding capacity for progressive organizing from the grassroots to established institutions.

Catalist provides progressive organizations with the data and services needed to better identify, understand, and communicate with the people they need to persuade and mobilize. The Action Network uses a networked model of organizing that facilitates working with other groups, sharing lists and the fruits of organizing efforts, and taking campaigns to scale together. By combining the power of these two tools, progressive organizations and campaigns will be able to take strategic campaigns to greater heights than previously imagined.

Action Network will be working with Catalist in the coming month to integrate the tools. Expect a roll out of the new data tools in the first quarter of this year.

Action Network releases new fundraising tool

Check out the embedded fundraising widget on our site–and while you are there, please support our work.

The new fundraising tool launched this week, heralding a breakthrough in grassroots fundraising. The new tool, available to individuals and small groups for free, allows organizers to raise money for their campaigns or others using the Action Network’s incredibly easy to use system, and they can embed their fundraiser on any website.

By providing grassroots organizers a free tool set that includes the ability to fundraise for their campaigns, the Action Network is fulfilling our vision to empower more organizers to build power locally. And with our ease-of-use and unique collaborative campaign model, we’re facilitating the creation of campaigns with the breadth and power to make a difference.

Thanks again for all of your support this year, and we look forward to big things in 2014!
