BREAKING NEWS!! NEW EVIDENCE REVEALS WALMART ORDERS FROM BANGLADESH TRAGEDY
Newly uncovered evidence from the Tazreen factory, site of the devastating fire that killed over 100 garment workers on November 24 in Bangladesh, is causing Walmart some headaches. The evidence, described in reports from The New York Times' Steven Greenhouse, shows that product orders were placed not just by one supplier, but through multiple purchasers on Walmart’s behalf over the course of the past year.
The Corporate Action Network has acquired the original documents and makes them available here for the first time. Here's one of the incriminating pages:

Walmart’s claims to have no knowledge of the production sourced from this factory are increasingly hard to believe. Walmart initially denied that the factory was involved in producing garments for the retail giant. When workers documented clothing with Walmart labels in the charred ruins, the company blamed a “rogue” subcontractor, claiming that the orders had been placed without Walmart’s permission or knowledge. Walmart then issued a statement that the unnamed subcontractor had been terminated. The status of the other suppliers mentioned in the Times report remains unclear.
The gesture of terminating a relationship with one of Walmart’s many unnamed subcontractors does not begin to resolve the safety problems in the Bangladesh factories and does nothing to wash the blood of these workers from Walmart management’s hands.
