Business Wire has breaking news (and teleconference information) about Wal-Mart associates walking out of stores all over Dallas, and reports that “Walmart workers from stores in Miami, the DC-area, Sacramento, Southern California and the Bay-area are also walking off the job.”

Wal-Mart, always looking out for the American consumer, has decided to put roll out a new prepaid store card in partnership with AmEx. “The card will act much like debit or credit cards — except those products are covered by much stricter consumer protection laws.”

Why This Analyst Says A Walmart 'Deception' Is Overwhelming Facebook With Spam
Rich Greenfield, an analyst at BTIG, has alleged that Wal-Mart is selling ad-space to third parties on its Facebook page, which means that when you think you’re liking a TV show or a food or a shoe or whatever when those things come up in your feed, your like actually goes straight to the retailer. Wal-Mart has come back and said Greenfield’s full of it, but, well, it’s Wal-Mart.

Will Not Allow Walmart in West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee
Americans aren’t the only ones upset with the world’s largest retailer. Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister for West Bengal, has accused the central government of selling out in its decision to allow Foreign Direct Investment in Indian retail. "They want to snatch your land and livelihood and set up Walmart here. But let me say this. As long as I am here, we will not allow Walmart to enter. We cannot and will not allow anything that jeopardises the interest of common people," said Banerjee.
